I regret to have to inform you of my intention to resign my position with XXX, effective 19 September 2007.

I came to the XXX here with an optimistic frame of mind and with the intention of being an asset to your store. Since having been in the X Department, I have worked under Ms. F., who not only doesn't have a good knowledge of what her postion entails, but who also plays favortism toward employees who are her friends. Often she is unapproachable when someone comes to her with ideas and suggestions that would benefit this department.

There have been times when she has contributed to a mistake being made, whether by action or inaction, and rather than own up to it, she is known to blame others wirking in the department. There have been times when I've been in the process of "cleaning up" product so it looked better for the customer, and have met with criticism for my actions...and then the next day, when I didn't "Clean up" the same item, I've been criticized for teh quality of product out on the floor. Either you want it to look nice for the customer, or you don't. She does not practice consistent rotation of product in this department, which results in product expiring or becoming unsellable.

During my time in this department with her, I have experienced discrimination by her, because I am of a different race. There have been occasions when I have been in this section stocking product, while other employees are taking extended breaks, having chat sessions, or just plain disappearing, and she will single me out for a less desireable job. There have been times when she acts as if I can not think for myself, act for myself, make a competent decision. She treats me as if I am an incompetent child who needs constant supervision and instruction. On other occasions she has omitted information to other managers that would have saved all from a lot of confusion and questioning. In the later instance of a scheduling problem for 20 September, rather than tell of a meeting she participated in and acquired the answers to quesitons to be asked later, she did not divulge all that she was aware of. Instead partial truth was given, which resulted in my looking like I was a problem. The truth is that a schedule for 16-22 September was posted last week. I took that schedule home, and while home, my hsuband called me and asked me waht my days off were. I informed him they were Thursday and Friday. He let me know that he made an appointment and that I needed to be home for Thursday the 20th of September. We made an unchangeable apointment AROUND the originally posted schedule given to employees for this week. Saturday, 17 September while on my lunch break with V.G., Ms. F. informs me that there is a schedule change for me. When I addressed the change in schedule for 20 September, she basically told me there was nothing she could do...that this was the schedule to be worked. I also asked her if others had schedule changes and she said a couple others did also. When comparing the new schedule with the old schedule, I found that other than a one hour difference in one persons' schedule for one day, mine was the only one in this department who had major changes. Later in the night, I went to another manager (Mr. A) and let him know of the schedule change problem. (He is the one who made the original schedule.) Mr. A, Ms. F. and I were all in the department office looking at the schedule, working on a solution. Ms. F. was aware of who approved another schedule change for 20 September, why the schedule change was made, and what the reasons were for the changes. If there were any written changes on the schedule (I was accused of taking it upon myself to mark on the schedule that I would not be there that day, without mgr approval.), they were most likely made by mr. A as a result of our three way discussion in the office. I did not write on the schedule myself.

I have documented much of what has happened during my time in this department and many of the work situations I've experienced with Ms. F. I can not continue to work with someone who disrespects my intelligence and me as a person. I am not the only person who has worked in this department, who has experienced her favortism toward her friends over other people.

I came to yoru store with experience as a Teller, a cashier, in the scanning department, and with experience in this particular department as well as other spects of the store. I have a lot to offer my employer, providing i am given the opportunity to work in a positive working environment. Supervisors should treat their employees with a measure of respect and teach when they need taught, in a manner that does not demoralize or belittle the employee.

I have enjoyed working with DeCA in the past and this is why I believed that coming to this store would also be somewhere I could continue to learn and grow in experience and knowledge. I did not find those options available at this store.

We finally got our new Durango, here's a pic!
I really like the color of this one too. The last one had a unique color and was pretty too, but this one is also unique. I tease Mike and tell him this one is mine, it might last longer if I am the one driving it. Sweetheart that he is, he let's me say it and actually told some people, "this one is hers". He even let me drive it home from Hanau yesterday!

Our vehicle was a brand new Dodge Durango with less than 2000 miles on it.
The train had no damage at all.

The 8 health guidelines

*Eat at least 5 servings of veggies and fruits per day.
*Choose whole-grain foods, such as brown rice and oats, whenever possible.
*Include 2 servings of milk products each day. If more than 50 or a teenager, 3 per day.
